A’diru’s story - Sponsorship changes lives
29 Aug 2011
A’diru has made ORA Uganda proud. She has become a role model to the girls in her community, being patient in life and diligent in all she does.
A'diru was taken on to sponsorship with two siblings after both their mother and father had died of AIDS. A kind unrelated neighbour took the children into her home, however life was difficult for them and the other two siblings did not continue with their education. One of Knight’s sisters ran away and to this day no one knows what she does with her life.
A’diru was an average performer in school, but she had a strong passion for Nursery School teaching. ORA encouraged A’diru in her passion and now she has successfully graduated with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and is following her dream as a Nursery School Teacher. She is a role model to the other sponsored children and girls in the community. Read excerpts from A’diru’s thank you letter to her sponsor...
Dear Sponsor
I am humbled at this moment to have the chance of writing to you. I am sending my appreciation to you for all that you have done in my life to open my eyes and see God’s blessings.
I am a happy Nursery school teacher. I love children.
I am so grateful for all that has happened, for the heart and love you have showed me during my sponsorship. I went to school and succeeded and now I can sustain my life. I am thinking of going back to school for a diploma.
May God bless you abundantly. My words cannot express my heartfelt thanks to you.
Yours faithfully
A’diru
